The ContiComfortKit

1st February 2014

The ContiComfortKit, a system designed to ensure mobility in the face of tyre failure, can be used with all proprietary car tyres. It is considerably faster and easier to use than conventional systems. The Kit is now available from our Andover and Kingston branches.

The ContiComfortKit quickly resolves the problem of tyre failure. The set (which weighs a mere two and a half kilos - approx. 5lbs) is made up of a small box (the size of an A4 sheet and just under 10cm high) containing a compressor and tyre sealant. To make the defective tyre mobile again in order to reach the nearest workshop, the box does not even need to be opened. Just connect the hose to the tyre valve, plug the power cable into the cigarette lighter socket and fill the tyre with sealant and air. An illuminated gauge means the tyre pressure can be set correctly, even in the dark. The ContiComfortKit is considerably quicker and easier to use than conventional systems.

Once the tyre has been filled with the air/sealant mixture, the motorist can continue his journey at a maximum speed of 80 km/h (50 mph) for 200 kilometres (125 miles). He is therefore only exposed to the breakdown situation for the shortest time possible.

The handy ContiComfortKit is now available from our Andover and Kingston branches for just £59.95, making it considerably cheaper than a proprietary spare tyre with a steel rim.
